Paris Saint-Germain have been handed a major injury boost ahead of their Champions League clash against Manchester City tomorrow.

The Ligue 1 outfit will host the Premier League champions for the second match of their Champions League group stage campaign and they will be able to welcome the likes of Lionel Messi and Marco Verratti back into the squad as per L’Equipe via GFFN.

Both players were sidelined with knee injuries and their return is likely to improve PSG immensely.

Verratti sustained a serious knee injury while on international duty for Italy earlier this month. Messi also suffered bruising on his bone in the match against Lyon last Thursday.

PSG did not win their first game against Club Bruges in their group and will be hoping to win the next one.

Mauricio Pochettino’s best players will be needed to beat Manchester City. It remains to be seen if the French team can win at home.

They will be confident as the Premier League giants come into this game having just won an away victory over Chelsea.

Verratti is undoubtedly the club’s best player in the midfield, and the Italian will provide stability and control in the middle.

Messi is still not in his best form, but he is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers ever and he could make a huge difference for PSG tomorrow.

They have won all of their Ligue 1 matches so far and have been a great team.

They have players such as Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, so there is no reason why they can’t perform at a similar level this season in the Champions League.
