In the latest Arsenal transfer news, we have an update on Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri who was targeted by the Gunners this summer.
The Gunners were one of many clubs that expressed interest in signing the striker this summer. The likes of West Ham and Manchester United are also interested in signing the striker who has been in blazing form for the La Liga side over the past few seasons.
According to the Express, via Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal are plotting a January bid for En-Nesyri. To sign the striker, they will need to pay a premium.
According to some reports, the Gunners could submit a player-plus cash offer that would include Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette has only a few months left on his current contract at the Emirates, and the Frenchman has shown no willingness to pen a new deal. Arsenal could offer him a free transfer and include him in a part-exchange agreement for the Moroccan.
The Spanish side paid £17m to sign 24-year-old En-Nesyri from Leganes, and he has turned out to be a massive hit for the Andalusia club.
He was a star last season, scoring 24 goals. This weekend, he scored the third goal in the 2-0 win over Espanyol.
Sevilla are not looking to sell him on the cheap and they want to ensure any deal matches their £38.5m valuation of the star forward.
Although the La Liga side are not in a hurry to sell their prized asset, it has been reported by Arsenal that they are interested in testing their resolve with an attractive bid in January.
Arsenal were big spenders in the summer transfer window and the Gunners will likely spend big again to secure their top targets.
