New York native Josh Stone releases his long-awaited single “Slide 101” which features fellow New York native and rapper, Dave East. In addition to the new music, Stone also shared the video for “Slide 101”.
Stone and East teamed up during the Covid-19 pandemic, when Quad Studios was closed. Stone produced the single, wanting to focus on creating a record that is different from East’s notable NY sound. Three weeks after the single was released, the video was shot on Long Island. The video was shot while filming an outdoor ceremony.
Of the song, Stone says,” I wanted to make something for the strip clubs and regular clubs. Slide 101 crosses over to mainstream music, and can create a buzz thanks to East appearing on the feature. This record is just a time where hard work met opportunity and made it count.”
