Rod Hardy taps musical legend Boosie Badazz for his new track “Greatness“. This new hip-hop single pays homage to the late great Los Angeles, Lakers NBA player Kobe Bryant. Kobe was in the first NBA game twenty-five year ago.
Rod’s new single “Greatness” features the controversial Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr., better known by his stage name Boosie BadAzz or simply Boosie. Hatch started rapping as part of the Hip-Hop collective Concentration Camp in 1990. He eventually went on to rap solo in 2000, with his debut album Youngest Of Da Camp. Boosie Badazz, whose back-and-forth continues with him, has been in the news a lot recently. Lil Nas and X. Rod got deeply involved with the music due to the fact in 2020 Rod’s brother fell into a coma for 20 plus days, and when he finally came home he said “Life Is Short, if you’re going to do it, do it now”. Rod worked in the studio for the next week and has not stopped writing music ever since.
Rod’s new single “Greatness” is a tribute to Kobe Bryant and his greatness as well as a look ahead for greatness in his career. Rod could pay tribute to Bryant and also embody the mamba mentality of his career. The perfect way to marry music and basketball was by adding Boosie on the track and giving his flowers. “Greatness” recently charted on Apple Music & iTunes charts.
