Luis Alberto Jara Cantillana born in Santiago, Chile, on October 25, 1965. He spent his childhood in the quiet neighborhood of Avenida Matta. It is there where he took his first steps as a singer, participating in Masses of the parish of St. Philip of Jesus.
His parents Luis Jara Vergara and Alba Rosa Cantillana early on did not know the secret passion for singing their eldest son had. At the age of 9, Luis Jara participated and won 1st place in children’s festival voice Dingolondango program. It was not until then that his parents became aware suddenly of his interest in music.
