Liverpool confirmed Thiago Alcantara’s injury blow earlier on in the week but manager Jurgen Klopp has now provided a possible timeframe on the midfielder’s return.
The 30-year old central midfielder will be out for the next three games. He is expected back to action after the international holiday.
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Thiago Alcantara will not be able to play until after the international break due to a calf injury.

Thiago will miss games Premier League games against Brentford and Manchester City. He will also miss the Champions League clash away to Porto.
Due to injuries, Harvey Elliot is already out of action. Thiago’s absence for the next three matches will come as a major blow for the Reds.
Elliott picked up an ankle injury against Leeds United He is expected to be back towards the end this season. Keita injured his foot in the match against Crystal Palace, and will miss a few matches.

Klopp is now left with Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabinho and Curtis Jones as his midfield options. Despite having the numbers, Liverpool will miss the creativity and control at the middle of the park because of Keita and Thiago’s absence.
Away games against Brentford and Porto could prove to be tricky encounters and Klopp could have surely used Thiago’s calmness and composure against Manchester City on the 3rd of October.
Since his arrival in the Premier League, the Liverpool midfielder has been ill. He suffered a serious injury against Everton last year that kept him out of the entire campaign.
Thiago arrived from Bayern Munich with high expectations, but the Spaniard is yet to display his peak form for Liverpool.
The 30-year old is a great player on his day, and Liverpool fans will be hoping that Thiago can quickly recover and make a big impact this season.
