Camila is a Mexican soft rock group which reached staggering success in their home country and all over Latin America upon the release of their debut album Todo Cambió.
The group includes Mario Domm, singer, musician and songwriter who has been producer of major hits for Alejandra Guzmán, Reyli, Kalimba, Paulina Rubio and Thalía.
The group's name came from a friend's idea of calling the group "Camila" because it means "close to God". Their first single, "Abrázame" became a major airplay success upon its release. The song was played in the radio stations before the group even chose a name for themselves.It is also one of the most successful bands in Mexico.
It would then go on to U.S. Latin Top 30, largely helped by its massive pop airplay.
