Yolanda Perez is an American singer who specializes in banda music. She's known by her stage name "The Potranquita", a name taken by her father from his hometown of Zacatecas, Mexico.
Yolanda Perez was born in Los Angeles, California. When she was 11 years old she won a music contest held in Lynwood, California. As part of the prize, she recorded an album that launched her career. Yolanda has since recorded several more albums with Kimo's Music her original record label. Her career was especially enhanced when she signed with Fonovisa Records, part of Univision Music Group.
