Victor Ortiz's mother abandoned him and his brother when they were just little children. His father did the same when he turned 12. It was then that Victor Ortiz led the way against adversity. A long and agonizing struggle, yet admirable, which have now paid off, because he has been catapulted to star as the most important of boxers today.
Raised by Mexican parents, Ortiz lived in the area of Garden City, a rural community in the state of Kansas, United States. He worked the crop, but also discovered boxing and soon found punchihg bad as a salvation for their hardships and a path to success.
