The Tomateros de Culiacan are a team of Mexican baseball belonging to the Mexican Pacific League (PML), based in the city of Culiacan , Sinaloa , Mexico. The team has nine championships in league history (second only to the Naranjeros de Hermosillo which have 15 championships), and two Caribbean World Series . Of this total eleven championships, eight have been from the hand of manager Francisco "Paquin" Estrada. The Tomateros have their antecedents in the " Tacuarineros of Culiacan "old League of the Pacific Coast, who won five championships in thirteen seasons.
