Originating from the streets of El Monte, California Snapper began his rhyming when he was a teenager. He started with recording on low budget cassette tapes and spitting flows at house parties all over the San Gabriel Valley creating a street buzz, soon after he decided to pursue a rapping career. In the late year of 1996 Snapper got himself in trouble with the law again but this time he violated the terms of his formal probation which he got for prior arrest in the past which now landed him in prison. After getting released in 1999 from Tracy State Prison from serving a 2 year sentence for a concealed weapon.
