Roberto Tapia a native of San Diego, California. When he was a kid his parents moved back to Culiacan Sinaloa. At the age of 9 his parents sent him to music school where he learned how to play the clarinet and percussion which allowed him to once play with Sinaloa's Symphony.
At the age of 13 his parents moved back to California where Roberto Tapia continued his musical studies. At 17 he made his first official appearance as a Regional Mexican music artists in Tijuana opening the show for El Lobito de Sinaloa.
