Roberto Blades is a Panamanian singer who spent most of his career in the United States. He is the brother of Ruben Blades.
The Panamanian Roberto Blades, became seriously involved in music after spoiling his plan to join the U.S. Air Force. In 1981, based in Miami, the musicians joined him to form a tropical orchestra called La Inmensidad, topping the charts with "Lagrimas" and "Ya No Regreso Contigo" soon after.
