Luis Cesar Ayala, artistically known as Luisito Ayala was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. His first love for music was at the young age of 15. He first started as a trumpeteer and director of the youth group called Combo Tropical. At the age of 17 Luisito Ayala joined as a professional trumpeteer the Orquesta: Panamerica, Willie Rosario and Willie Rodriguez.
At the beginning of the 70's, director Jesus "Chuy" Castro founded Orquesta Puerto Rican Power. Chuy studied medecine and decided to disjoin the orquesta. In 1978 Luisito Ayala bought the rights to the Orquesta and was given the title of the new director.
This new stage in their career was held for six consecutive years for Puerto Rican Power who were also joined by the roster of Fania Records.... All of Puerto Rican Power's Biography >> |
