Oscar Medina was born in a humble home in the city of Mexicali, Baja California, in the country of Mexico. Oscar grew up surrounded by a large family of musicians and singers. Thirteen children in total, of which Oscar is tenth. His parents were Martin and Maria Medina who instilled in him a love of music and singing, making him participate in all kinds of musical events and introducing Oscar to local television and radio.
