N.O.R.E. is a member of the African American rapper Capone-N-Noreaga (C-N-N). His father is Puerto Rican, hence his Latin roots.
N.O.R.E. is an acronym for Niggaz On (the) Run Eatin '. Its former name, Noriega, comes from the Panamanian General Manuel Noriega. N.O.R.E. currently signed by Def Jam Records via Roc-A-Fella Records, Tommy Boy Records Since (their former label) owned the rights to the name "Noreaga", the rapper was forced to look for a different professional nickname.
In his songs, is very typical to hear him say "what what ", "Slime", "it's nothing" and "Iraq. " It also has its own anthem to the three parts of "Bloody Money". In 1998 he released his debut album, NORE, which included the hits "Superthug" and "Banned From TV"produced by Swizz Beatz and that featured artists like Big Pun, Cam'ron, Nature and The Lox. Also included "N.O.R.E.. "
