MDO is a Puerto Rican musical group formed in 1997, followed by Menudo after having sold the copyright of the name.
In 1997, the creator and producer of Menudo, Edgardo Diaz, sold the rights to Menudo, a company in Panama. After the release and promotion of the album Tiempo de Amar in 1996, and the rest of the line, MDO was formed under the direction and production of Diaz.
Members at the time were Abel Talamantez, Alexis Grullon, Anthony Galindo, Didier Hernandez and Daniel Ryan. In 1999, continued with a little more, the album included two songs in English: "Groove With Me Tonite" and "Fantasy", in an attempt to cross the U.S. market The same happened in 2000 with Subir al Cielo, which debuted two new singles in English.
