Luis Silva started his first artistic steps in his native Santa Rosa de Barinas, Venezuela. After struggling to get a place in the Venezuelan music market in the late 80's he became a major figure in Venezuelan folk music, breaking the barriers between country and city with the theme "Ella o El" and then repeated this event in 1993 with the piece "Como no voy a decirlo" which managed to occupy the top of popularity nationwide and get all the awards for best singer of Creole music of that year....
