Luis Enrique Mejía Lopez is a Nicaraguan singer and composer. He started his career in the late 1980s and achieved success in the 1990s earning the title "El Principe de la Salsa (The Prince of Salsa).
Upon leaving his homeland of Nicaragua in 1978, Luis Enrique arrived in the United States with a passion for music that was passed down from generation to generation in his family. Luis remembers fondly his childhood days in Managua, Nicaraqua where his grandfather gave him his first guitar lessons that would be the corner stone of his musical journey.
