Los Palmeras Biography EditRevisions
Los Palmeras is a cumbia group originally from Santa Fe Santa Fe, Argentina.

Los Palmeras began in 1972 under the name "Sexteto Palmeras." At that time members of the band were Cezlav Popowicz (Voice), Osvaldo Zabala (Accordion), Raul Alberto Gómez (bass), Gilberto Donnelly (drums), Carlos Zalazar (Congas). During the same year Marcos Camino joins (accordion) replacing Osvaldo Zabala, who then becomes the group leader. Shortly after passing giving the band the name "Groupo Palmeras", but people called them " "Los Palmeras", a name they adopted and used until now. Their first two albums, "Los Palmeras" and "Te Regalare Mi Amor" were recorded with the voice of Cezlav Popowicz, under the seal of the label "MRG."
