My dad's Chinese (China) & my mom's Filipina (Philippines). I love most kinds of music, including Latin music from Latin America & Spain! As the Philippines was colonized by Spain for over 300 years (just like most of Latin America), we had to learn Spanish formally in school when I was growing up. They changed the law since I graduated from the university. Kids nowadays in the Philippines are *not* required anymore to study Spanish. They can choose any foreign language to study.
