El Tri is a Mexican blues/hard rock band from Mexico City fronted by Alex Lora. Previously known as "Three Souls in my Mind", the band has existed in some form since 1968. They play Rock and roll, acoustic rock, Blues-rock, and Blues and are regarded as influential in the development of Rock en Español, among the founders of Mexican rock music. The band has found success in Mexico and the United States, but in spite of releasing dozens of albums, many of which have gone gold in Mexico, have been hampered by music piracy, which cost them their recording contract in 2004.
