A native of Culiacan, Sinaloa (Mexico), José Angel Ledezma Quintero was born on November 1, 1970, living in Coyotitlan throughout most of his childhood and adolescence. Before turning to music, José Angel planned to become a professional baseball player, which led him constantly to Mazatlan, capital of the great bands of Sinaloa, where little by little his friends called him "El Coyotito", to simply known as El Coyote. In 1989, he made his professional debut with La Original Banda El Limon de Salvador Lizarraga, leaving aside for the moment, his sporting dreams.
