De Saloon is a Chilean rock band, originally from the city of Concepción.
Jean Pierre Duhart, Roberto Arancibia and Ricardo Barrenechea had known each other since kindergarten, and they decided to form a band in their school years, materializing their idea with the important decision to travel to Santiago in 1999. The band was originally a 4 man group, with the presence of José Miguel Amigo as a second guitar, but he deserted the group in 1999, before the debut in Santiago.
With no label or record deal, they recorded a demo of the song "Esfumar", who began having a radial rotation uncommon for a band which hadn't had much airplay before, and started to become popular in the music scene in Chile.
