The group emerged in August 2004, but had no name until the 20th of October of that year, when they decided to call "Chapa Cuba", but later shortened to "Chapa C" because it is easier to market. It's founders were Maikel Romera Alonso, Idilio Marquez Amores and Julio Esteban Haynes Pupo. They are joined by a mutual desire to sing and began recording their first songs. The significance of the group name plate uses the word to refer to the plate (plate) of a car, as this represents the territory to which it belongs, and C refers to Cuba, a country of origin of the three members, that is, with this name that are intended to represent natural Cuba anywhere in the world where they are....
